Are You Ready For Spring?

Man playing golfSpinal problems aren’t generally linked to specific times of the year, however we often see an increase each spring.

Spring is a time when we break out our golf clubs or slip on our gloves for a bit of gardening. Which, after being relatively inactive during the winter months, means: strains, pains and aching muscles.

Which means it’s time for a visit to Panorama Chiropractic.

Get Ready Golfers

Even if you don’t play tennis or golf, there are a few common injuries that can easily sideline you if you’re not in tip-top condition.

Elbow Injuries - Virtually any type of repetitive activity that involves wrist flexion can produce pain, tenderness or reduced grip strength. Muscles in your forearm are involved, connecting your wrist to the “funny bone” area of your elbow.

Stop by our practice on your way to Morgan Creek or Northview. Some simple stretches can be helpful too.

Hip Injuries - Like elbow injuries, hip pain can result from repetitive motion, rotational torque, ball striking and even walking. Muscle strain, arthritis, tendonitis and spinal fixations in the lumbar or sacrum can interfere with a powerful, fluid golf swing.

Chiropractic care may be helpful. See us before your first tour of Guildford or the Redwoods.

Get Ready Gardeners

Before you head over to Cedar Rim or PNW Garden Supply and get busy in the garden, here are a couple suggestions:

Warm up - Gardening involves virtually all the muscles of your body. So does walking. Go on a brisk 10-minute walk before raking, bending and weeding.

Stretch - You’re probably out of shape after spending the winter on the couch enjoying HGTV. Extend your right arm over your head while bending to the left at the waist. Hold for 15 seconds and repeat with your other arm.

Even with the best precautions, your neck, back and shoulders may become rebellious. Time to give us a call for a relaxing, life-affirming chiropractic adjustment.
